Michael Herklots works extensively with leading premium cigar manufacturers, traveling regularly to Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Honduras to develop and maintain the company’s premium cigar portfolio. Additionally, he oversees Nat Sherman’s retail efforts including their flagship Townhouse store on 42nd Street in New York City and is responsible for the sales and distribution network for Nat Sherman’s premium cigar division. Herklots is a Certified Master Tobacconist by Tobacconist University, a guest teacher and member of the board for the American Sommelier Association, and a contributing writer for many publications. Herklots began his career in the retail cigar business in Boston in 1998. In 2002 he relocated to New York City and joined the Swiss firm Davidoff of Geneva. He left his role as General Manager of Davidoff’s New York City retail operations in 2011 to join Nat Sherman.
