Rob Norris celebrates this month 20 years working in the tobacco industry, starting in 1997 with Imperial Brands in his home country of United Kingdom. Moving quickly through the ranks, he held a number of sales and marketing roles in the organization, he became responsible for the significant and hugely profitable Global Travel Retail business, widely recognized as delivering Imperial a significant competitive advantage in this channel with the strategies he introduced. After then running the Portuguese and Canary Island tobacco markets out of the company’s Madrid office, Rob and his young family moved to Florida in 2011 to focus on Premium cigars. He joined Altadis USA as the VP of Sales and Trade Marketing helping the company to grow sales significantly over his 3 year tenure. He then turned his attention to Premium Cigar Retail and is responsible for the speedy turnaround of the fortunes of Santa Clara / JR Cigar, through implementing new progressive strategies and his engaging leadership style. Rob is now back at Altadis USA, now as the General Manager.
